This carriage house has been a favorite lodging location of Joe Odom, a Savannah celebrity who played Paul Hipp in the film "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." This quaint location has a lush, shared courtyard that is often visited and occupied by the the owner's two dogs, a basset hound named Leon and a poodle named Pheobe. They love company, but if you're in the mood for privacy, feel free to ask that they stay home.

This is truly one of the best locations in the city, and after staying here you will feel like a true Savannahian.

My bestie and I spent five days and 4 nights at the Carriage House on Jones. Jones street really is the most beautiful street in the US. The VRBO is more like a studio, with lots of windows and great views. The highlight was the porch. We watched the afternoon showers every day we were there. The place is clean, functional, great location and has lots of southern charm. I would not hesitate to book it again.

We had a short stay in Savannah and could not have found a better place to stay at. Walking distance to everything and owner is the friendliest host. Very personable when we ran into her in courtyard and great company to learn from about the city. Will easily mark this as the go-to spot when visiting.

The location could not be more perfect. The only thing I was not expecting was the kitchen was bare. Most VBRO's have salt, some seasoning left by others, cooking oil, baggies, and food wrap. There was nothing but we made due night one and did a little shopping. So bring everything you will need to prepare and save leftovers. That being said - IT WAS AMAZING. Walking distance to everything. It was clean, inviting, cozy and just enough to make our stay perfect. Hope to be back next fall or spring.

I love Cora Bett’s home and her unwavering hospitality. This time my stay was not as expected to no fault of the Cora Betts. However, it may be smart next visit to make sure SCAD is not working on their building. They started at 6am right outside our window. I blame SCAD and the town for allowing such an early start not Cora Bett.

This charming carriage house is in the perfect location - within walking distance to restaurants, trolley stops, and several of Savannah’s historic squares and more. It was very clean and furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch. This rental is dog friendly and they were very accommodating to our two dogs. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but we knew that before we got there. We figured it out pretty quickly. I would highly recommend staying here. We definitely would again.

This centrally-located carriage house is perfect for exploring all that downtown Savannah has to offer. Parks, shops, museums, and restaurants are steps away in any direction. Barbara F from Millbury, OH recommends this vacation rental

This was a charming and great location. Only 15/20 minutes from River Street and the market. Close enough to walk to but far enough away from all the noise. The shared courtyard is very relaxing and beautiful. The neighbors dogs (Pheobe and Leon) are well behaved and love attention, sometimes they came to visit us on the porch. The pull out couch and full size beds were comfortable but the twin size bed is in a loft type area, not for younger kids. The shower water was hot and had good water pressure, the AC unit kept us comfortable. Only complaint I have was the floor is very rough like a burlap mat and If you have problems with stairs, this may be a bit difficult for you. Access directions from alley, that are given right before you arrive, are easy to find and should be shared (minus codes) for any shuttle services. Smoke free, which i appreciated. I Would highly recommend and I hope to stay at again.

I went on a long weekend with a friend and we had a wonderful time. The gatehouse is as described and best suited for two people to sleep in the one bed. The courtyard, with beautiful greenery and colorful flowers along with an adorable little water feature/coy pond, was so beautiful. The service was amazing! I needed a traditional old coffee pot (not Keurig) for my coffee and morning meds and they brought one to me an hour after our arrival. Cora is a lovely and gracious woman and we had a fabulous time in Savannah.

Communications with the owner and agent were very smooth and pleasant. The resident dogs were also friendly and welcoming. We walked everywhere, leaving our car parked during our entire stay. The kitchen could use an additional cutting board and a couple of pot lids (a minor quibble).

The carriage house was a perfect get away. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy river area providing a more peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, yet easily in walking distance too it all. I enjoyed my morning coffee sitting on the small porch overlooking the courtyard every morning with an occasional visit from Phoebe and Leon, the 4-legged greeters. The carriage house was nicely decorated and quaint. The owner was delightful coming out to talk, waving from the windows, and offering great restaurant suggestions. The other staff were also very friendly. This was a solo trip and I always felt safe when walking around the immediate area and to the river area during day and night. I highly recommend the carriage house and will hopefully be back next year.

Not that it was a deal breaker, but we were a little surprised to learn this place is actually a garage apartment. The owner and dogs were super nice and welcoming though and didn't bother us at all. The apartment had everything we needed, except for a coffee maker, but we ate breakfast at Clarys Cafe around the corner so that was fine. The ac unit didn't work in auto mode correctly so we did have to keep walking up to adjust it between heat and cool. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

The place was just lovely with several unexpected surprises. 3 at the top of the list would be Leon 4, Bo, and Carli. They took their job of greeting us very seriously each time we returned. Leon 4 was the most active but the other two were somewhat limited by age to be fair. Not to be out done Leon 2 provided a wealth of local information that was interesting and captivating.
When and if we come back to Savanna again it would be our first choice to see our friends at your Carriage House.

Cora, Leon, Dmitri, Bo, Carli, and the rest of the CBT team - thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely place! We fell head over heels in love with Savannah - from the gorgeous courtyard and porch to the interior accommodations to being able to take our dog Bilbo almost everywhere with us as we explored the beautiful city. We are now, like many before us, are actively researching whether our jobs would let us work in Savannah for more extended periods of time. Thank you so much for your warm and welcoming hospitality! Bilbo passes along a hello to his fellow sun-dogs-of-the-porch Bo and Carli. Looking forward to working with you again in the future!

What a wonderful place in a carriage house of a lovely home in historic downtown Savannah. We overlooked a beautiful private garden. We were in easy walking of so much of downtown Savannah. The carriage house was very comfortable for one or two people. Our host was delightful and made our stay easy and enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Great location and clean pleasant apartment. No issues with parking or the rental. I would recommend the property highly. One strange incident occurred. On fri in the early afternoon, a lady, who was showing the apartment to several other people did not knock but unlocked the door and came in. She then realized we were there and was fortunate we were clothed.

My husband and I traveled to Savannah for a quick weekend getaway. This apartment was perfect! It had everything we needed and the property caretaker was very responsive and helpful. The location was amazing; the garden was beautiful; and they are dog friendly. I would definitely stay again.
