  My husband and our golden retriever had a lovely stay in the basement apartment. Our dog loved to play with the owner's two dogs that lived upstairs. The courtyard was a lovely place to sit and have a cocktail or two. It was very Christmassy with the lighting. The only thing I would suggest is to update the TV as the picture is pretty poor quality and no Netflix or Amazon. It would have been lovely to have had the gas fire lit too.

  The rental was warm, welcoming, and in a great location. The bathroom was much larger than expected and the apartment had plenty of storage. My only recommendation would be investing in a new box spring since the one in the apartment was creaky and noisy; the mattress was comfortable.   The downtown garden apartment was very beautiful and had so much character! It was visually appealing and the courtyard was full of greenery! The apartment stay was such a cool and fun experience! I am also a huge dog lover and this place is dog friendly so that’s a huge plus for those who like to travel with their dogs!
  
  A few downfalls I would say are because it’s an older building and it’s located under Cora Bett Thomas’ home, you could hear everything. I could hear people walking, talking, and coming down the stairs. There also wasn’t too much privacy in the kitchen area and foyer because it was all windows and anyone who is staying at the carriage house could look in, but there were doors to block off the living and bed area.

  We have stayed on E Jones a number of times and if you want to experience Savannah as a local you MUST stay at Cora Bett’s. My wife and I love this location. Living in a historic building allows you to experience a antebellum atmosphere. Communication with the staff was excellent.   Comfortable home base for exploring the area. Easy walk to restaurants, Hop On/Off bus, shopping and many of the parks in the city. Please note the beautiful courtyard is shared with the owner and a shared wall of louvre doors eliminated the feel of privacy, but we were not in the space for long periods of time, so worked for us. Uneven floors with steps up and down make it a poor choices for travelers with mobility issues. Otherwise, comfortable and again, perfect location!
